Pharaoh demands greater work output from the Hebrew slaves while seeking to reduce their population through infanticide. Moses’ mother manages to hide baby Moses until he is three months old, when she finally sets him afloat in a basket. Discovered by Pharaoh’s daughter, Moses enters a life of privilege.
