Tender Shepherd Preschool! Perhaps the ministry for which we’re best known is our preschool. For 52 years, our preschool has been sharing and teaching the love of the Tender Shepherd with two, three, four and five year-olds. With a staff of 12 and directed by our very capable Jessame Cruz, Tender Shepherd is considered by many to be the best preschool on the island. Play, respect and getting along with others are the mainstays of our ministry but, for the older children, preparing for Kindergarten is also offered, using the Abeka curriculum.
Our Ministries
Christian Education! Christians should always be learning more about what it means to be a Jesus-follower and a citizen of the world. To that end, we offer Sunday School after worship each week during the school year. Children, youth and adults meet at the same time and often follow the same curriculum, making for ongoing conversations at home.

We are an assembly of Jesus-loving people who acknowledge that we are part of a much bigger enterprise: the Christian Church worldwide! While we celebrate our Lutheran heritage, we are not myopic in thinking that our church is the “only” church. In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul writes that “the body is made up of many members.” We are only a small part of that wondrous “body,” the Church, which Jesus established. Jesus Himself is the Head of the Church—and we all have an important role to play!

Yes! All are welcome here at the Lutheran Church of Guam! Join us every Sunday at 9:30 am.
Who is the local church affiliated with?
We are currently part of the Lutheran Congregations in Mission for Christ (LCMC) federation. Check out the LCMC website if you care to know more about our affiliation.
Is the church located in Guam?
Yes! We are located in our island's capital, the village of Hagatna. You can find us at 787 West Marine Corps Dr, Hagåtña, Guam.
